Woman used baby to beat boyfriend, beach patrol officials say

Tatyana Allen, 18, held without bail

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – Ocoee mother Tatyana Allen, 18, faced a judge Tuesday afternoon, accused of using her 6-month-old baby boy to beat up her boyfriend near the Ocean Boardwalk on Monday.

"She took the baby by his body, and hit the baby against the man and then threw the baby down," said a witness on the phone with 911.

Police said at least 20 people saw what happened and one witness immediately called 911.

Dispatch: "Did the baby look like it was crying or anything?"

Caller: "The baby was screaming. It was face down in the sand. It can't hold its head up by itself, that's how little it was."

However, Allen also called 911 and claimed it was her boyfriend who hit her and never mentioned her son, who cried in the background.

"I'm with my baby daddy and he had pushed me and hitting on me, and I need to you to come pick him up," said Allen.

Allen, who left the courtroom in tears, is now facing a $30,000 bond for battery and inflicting physical/mental abuse on a child. The judge also ordered Allen to not have any contact with her child.

News 6 learned the child is expected to be okay.
