DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – A bicyclist was killed Thursday when he was struck and pinned under an SUV near 726 N. Ridgewood Ave.
Police said the SUV was stopped on the side of the road momentarily when the man attempted to ride past the SUV on the driver's side. That's when the SUV pulled out into the travel lane at the same time.

Police said the SUV struck the bicyclist and pinned him under the vehicle. The man was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
According to police, the driver of the SUV remained at the scene and was cooperating.
The investigation is ongoing, and the man's identity will not be released until next of kin has been notified of his death.
