MELBOURNE, Fla. – A woman who was found dead in a car parked at a Melbourne Walmart has been identified as 53-year-old Jyll Elaine Shultis.
An employee found the body and notified authorities around 4 p.m. Wednesday. Officials with the West Melbourne Police Department believe Shultis had been living in her van. Foul play is not suspected, but detectives are awaiting official autopsy results.
Surveillance video showed the van pulling into the parking lot on Sept. 26. It's unclear if the vehicle remained there up until Wednesday, or if it left and returned at some point.
Police officials said it appeared that the body had been there for "quite some time."
