Body found in Deltona pond, deputies say No foul play suspected
DELTONA, Fla. – The body of an elderly man was found floating in a Deltona pond Monday morning, according to the Volusia County Sheriff's Office.
The person who called 911 at 10:02 a.m. said the man floating in a pond near 585 Belltower Ave. appeared to be in his 80s or 90s. The pond is near a condominium complex.
Deputies said there are no signs of foul play and the incident does not appear to be suspicious.
The victim's name will be released after he is positively identified and his family is notified.
