PALM BAY, Fla. – Palm Bay police on Monday continue to investigate a suspicious death after a man's body was found inside a home during a well-being check.
Police identified the man as 44-year-old Delroy Patrick Downer. A medical examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
Police were called Sunday morning to a home on Northwest Hydrangea Road, west of Interstate 95 and north of Malabar Road, for a well-being check, and officers said it appeared that no one was home.
When family and friends went in the house later, they found Downer dead, police said.
Crime scene investigators spent Sunday dusting for fingerprints on a car and taking photos in the house.
Police said it's possible that the homicide was drug-related.
A $5,000 Crimeline reward is being offered for information about the case.
