Bomb threats cleared at high school, Jewish center

A local high school and a Jewish center both received bomb threats Wednesday morning, officials said.

The Roth Jewish Community Center of Greater Orlando JCC in Maitland received a call at 10 a.m. saying there may be an explosive device in one of the buildings. The campus was on lockdown while authorities investigated.

Maitland police cleared the center and operations returned to normal by 2 p.m.

This is the third bomb threat the center has received in recent weeks. In the previous instances, no explosives were found.

Students at Astronaut High School in Titusville had to be evacuated onto the football field after the school received a bomb threat.

The school was cleared.
