ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando police arrested two men and are looking for another after they crashed a car into a home on Frazier Avenue.
Kennis Miller said the home belongs to his 82-year-old mother, Lurene Miller, but she wasn't home during the crash.
"Thank God she wasn't here," said Miller. "It just so happened the car went into my mother's living room."
Orlando police said they were conducting a traffic stop Thursday when three men inside a white BMW tried getting out. Police said one of the men then started to drive off.
"The officer grabbed the driver, and the driver drove the vehicle as the officer was holding him, dragging the officer down the street," Lt. Darnell Hill said.
The trio then sped off, heading south on Frazier before crashing into the house.
All three men bailed and a perimeter was set up to search for them. Using a helicopter and K-9 two of the men were eventually located near MetroWest in the retention pond canal area.
Police are still searching for that third man and said he could be armed.
Miller told Local 6 he's just grateful his mom and 86-year-old step-dad weren't hurt.
"It was a close call for him, and somebody was looking out for her today," Miller said.
The officer who was dragged was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries and was expected to recover.
Police said the two men who were arrested face a minimum of fleeing and eluding charges.
