Death investigation underway in unincorporated Cocoa, deputies say

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – A death investigation is underway Saturday in unincorporated Cocoa, the Brevard County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies said the incident on Brophy Boulevard appears to be an isolated incident related to a disturbance that happened at a separate location prior to the shooting.

Homicide agents and crime scene investigators were interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence, deputies said.

Anyone who witnessed or has information about the incident is asked to call the Brevard County Sheriff's Office Homicide Unit via the Sheriff's Office Communications Center at 321-633-7162, or Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS (8477). Deputies said tipsters can also visit crimeline.org, or text 'crimeline' plus the tip to CRIME (274637). All information to Crimeline is confidential, and tipsters may be eligible for a reward.
