DELTONA, Fla. – An hours-long standoff ended overnight Wednesday at a home in Deltona, sheriff's officials said.
The incident happened on Alton Road, preventing several people from getting to their homes.

Volusia deputies said the standoff began when a man made statements about possibly trying to get shot and killed by police.
After several hours, deputies decided to leave the home before anything could happen.
No injuries were reported.
