Murder warrant issued after woman found dead next to Sumter road

Terrance Kwamaine Williams wanted in connection with death of Barbara Lynn Grubb

WILDWOOD, Fla. – An arrest warrant was issued Monday for a 21-year-old man after a woman was found dead next to a Sumter County road, officials said.

The Sumter County Sheriff's Office said it is looking for Terrance Kwamaine Williams (pictured below), of Wildwood. He's wanted on charges of second-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in the death of Barbara Lynn Grubb.

Deputies were called to the 9200 block of County Road 231, in Wildwood at 11:18 a.m. Sunday and found Grubb, 35, dead on the side of the road. Deputies said Grubb suffered upper body trauma

No other details about her death have been released.

Grubb had been arrested several times in Marion County, where she lived, for petit theft, grand theft auto, prostitution and violation for probation, officials said. Her most recent arrest was in 2015, records show.

The Sheriff's Office is asking for witnesses or anyone with information on the whereabouts of Williams to call the Sumter County Sheriff's Office or Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS.
