Woman arrested after posting video of 7-year-old driving car, deputies say

A Seminole County woman is charged with child neglect after letting a 7-year-old drive a car and posting video of the incident on social media, according to the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office.

A Seminole school resource deputy saw the video of the boy, who was not wearing a seat belt, driving a vehicle earlier this month, posted to social media. After recognizing the boy as a student of the school to which he is assigned to the officer notified the sheriff’s office Crimes Against Children Unit, according to a news release.

Investigators identified the woman as Kwaniqua Glenn, 34, of Altamonte Springs.

According to the arrest report, Glenn met the child at his bus stop in unincorporated Altamonte Springs and told him to drive through the neighborhood. The boy drove for less than a mile at about 28 mph. No one was injured.

Glenn was arrested Thursday and charged with child neglect and allowing an unauthorized person to drive a car. She posted a $5,500 bond and was released Thursday night from the Polk County Jail.
