Woman was on phone with 911 when she was slain, Orange County deputies say

Jasmine Samuel found dead in trunk of car

ORLANDO, Fla. – Newly released court documents describe the final moments of a Central Florida mother's life before deputies say she was shot and killed by her ex-boyfriend.

The documents reveal Jasmine Samuel was shot in the trunk of her car while she was on the phone with 911, trying to get help.

According to deputies, Samuel had called dispatchers after David Payne kidnapped her from her job early Thursday.

Investigators say they were able to use her cellphone to track her location, but by the time the car was found, Samuel was already dead.

The documents show at one point the couple was engaged, but the relationship ended about a month ago.

Deputies say investigators told a co-worker Payne had threatened her life.

He's now being held in the Orange County Jail, without bond.
