Dollar General targeted by armed robber for second time in week

Gunman fires shot; no one hurt

MARION COUNTY, Fla. – A Dollar General in Marion County has been targeted by armed robbers for the second time in a week.

According to the Ocala Star Banner, a gunman entered the Southeast 58th Avenue store on Sunday night, demanded money and then took off, firing a single shot at someone who was chasing him.

That person was not hit.

Last week, two armed men forced their way inside the same store as it was closing. In that case, a worker was forced to the ground while the suspects demanded money.

The robberies are the third and fourth at Marion County Dollar Generals this year and the 16th since October.
