LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – The body of an 80-year-old DeLand man was found by a passerby early Sunday near County Road 42 and Deerhaven Road, troopers said.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the elderly man, whose name was not given, was driving a 1989 Chevy pickup truck on Deerhaven Road when for an unknown reason he veered off the road and got stuck between several trees.

The FHP said it appears the man got out of the truck and suffered some sort of medical episode.
The incident remains under investigation.
