FORT LAUDERDALE – SunPass customers with battery operated transponders will soon need to replace them!
Transponders will no longer work after December 31.

SunPass is offering a Florida's Turnpike Enterprise Tag Swap Program. The program allows customers with the out-of-date transponder to receive a new one free of charge.
"The change in technology is necessary as Florida continues its efforts toward regional and national toll interoperability," said Diane Gutierrez.
There remains 300,000 customers through out the state who have been notified, but have not changed out their transponder.
