Crews to spray for mosquitoes in Osceola County

Spraying delayed due to poor weather conditions

KENANSVILLE, Fla. – Crews in Osceola County will launch an aerial mosquito spraying mission late Tuesday night.

The aerial team will be spraying in Kenansville, Yee Haw Junction and Pine Grove between 8 p.m. and midnight.

Crews will also treat the ground in the county by using spray trucks.

However, if winds reach 10 mph or if it starts to rain, the spraying will be pushed off until Wednesday or Thursday.

County leaders say residents also need to do their part in protecting themselves from mosquitoes. The health department recommends checking rain gutters, watching for pools of standing water around the house and replacing birdbaths every three days.
