Deputies looking for Aldi robbery suspect

Deputies: Man robs Aldi in Kissimmee

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – Osceola County deputies are looking for a man they say robbed an Aldi in Kissimmee.

Deputies said on Wednesday at approximately 8:13 p.m., they responded to Aldi's Supermarket located at 1040 Buenaventura Boulevard in Kissimmee.

Deputies said they spoke with the store manager who indicated an unknown male was complaining about a food purchase from earlier in the day.

Deputies said both men walked over to the frozen food aisle and the man handed the manager a note which indicated he had accomplices in the store and demanded money from the safe. The man then showed the manager a handgun that was concealed in his jacket.

Deputies said the manager complied with the demands and the man walked out of the store with an undisclosed amount of money. He may possibly have left the area in a white mini-van.

Deputies said the man was described as a light skinned, Hispanic male in his mid-30's. He is approximately 5 feet 5 inches with a wide nose, thin beard line and thin goatee.

The man was wearing a heavy camouflage jacket, khaki pants, black tennis shoes and a black hat with a red design on the front.

Deputies are asking anyone with information to call Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS.

Any tips that lead to an arrest could pay up to $1,000.
