Oviedo woman's Amazon package stolen off doorstep

Homeowner catches teens on surveillance camera

OVIEDO, Fla. – Kim Parker had been tracking her package from Amazon. She received an update about 1 p.m. Monday, saying UPS had delivered it to her doorstep, but when she got home, the package was gone.

"There's not much you can do to (increase security in) the front of your house," Parker said.

But when she looked back at her surveillance video, the Oviedo woman spotted three teens.

"I looked and I saw that there was three kids," Parker said. "I'm like, 'What are they doing?' and you can clearly see the kid's face. And he picks up the package and then he turns his back away and the other two kids that were standing out there tell him to shake it -- and he shook it and they stuck it in his backpack and away they walked."

Parker immediately went on Facebook and told neighbors to be on high alert. Police said they've arrested two 16-year-olds and they're still looking for one more.

"I have no use for thieves -- none whatsoever," one neighbor said. "I'm glad they got caught and I hope they catch any of them that do."

Parker said she won't be getting her package back. It was intended to be a gift, but police said the teens threw it out.

Anyone with information on the third teen's identity is asked to call police.
