ORLANDO, Fla. – Local 6 has learned the attorney for George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watchman who shot and killed Trayvon Martin, is speaking at a grassroots activists group for national gun rights in Orlando.
Mark O'Mara will speak at the 27th Annual Gun Rights Policy Conference (GRPC 2012) in Orlando, FL at the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport hotel September 28- 30.

According to a release, the conference will focus on city gun bans, "smart" guns, concealed carry, federal legislation, legal actions, gun show regulation, state and local activity.
O'Mara is in the midst of a "Stand Your Ground" trial with his client, Zimmerman, who is charged with second degree murder of 17-year-old Martin, who was shot and killed while walking through a Sanford neighborhood in February.
Zimmerman has pleaded not guilty, claiming self-defense.
