Help needed to name 11-week old male Bloodhound puppy

SUMTER COUNTY, Fla – Everyone, give a warm welcome to the newest member of the Sumter County Sheriff's Office K-9 corps.

The local office is requesting the public's help naming the new 11-month-old male bloodhound pupp from Hardee Correctional Institute.

Before joining his fellow bloodhounds, Albert and Libby, in the field, the new K-9 unit will need to go through extensive training, learning tracking and scent detection for the next nine to twelve months.

Head over to the Sumter County Sheriff's Office - Florida official Facebook page to participate in naming the new puppy.

The social media campaign will consist of posting various photos of the puppy to encourage the community to get involved in the naming of the new puppy.

All comments will be considered in the naming of the new puppy until the conclusion of the campaign on Monday.

The puppy's name will be officially announced on Monday.
