22 shots fired into Orlando home

Police search for gunman

ORLANDO, Fla. – An Orange County family is on edge after nearly two dozen bullets struck their home Sunday night.

The shooting happened around 11:45 p.m. Saturday on Moss Park Ridge Drive.

"I have a baby. I have a 6-month-old grandson here. He could have killed all of us in here," said a woman who lives inside the home, asking not to be identified.

A woman who lives in the house said that her 19-year-old son called her Saturday night and said he had gotten into a fist-fight.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office said that two men showed up to the house a short time later. One of the men knocked on the door asking for the son.

After a family member confirmed the person they were looking for lived at the home, but was not there at the time, a second man pulled out a gun.

"Does he live here? My son is like, 'Yes, why? What's going on?'  the woman said. "That's when the other guy pulled a gun out and started shooting. We went crazy screaming, crying. I went insane. You don't do that. Just for a little fight, you don't do that."

The family said a total of 22 shots were fired into their garage, hitting two vehicles.

The woman also said the same two men who went to her house are the same ones with whom her son got into a fight with earlier in the night.

One of the bullets hit a wall near a baby swing. The family said they are thankful no one was harmed.

"The baby. I was just thinking of my kids, because I'm thinking, 'How can I save them?' I'm all the way upstairs. I don't have any guns, no weapons in my house," the woman said.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office said no arrests have been made in the shooting.
