Human bones found near Kissimmee gas station

Remains discovered by homeless camp

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Human bones were found Thursday near a gas station in Kissimmee, officials said.

Police said the remains were found by a RaceTrac in a field near a homeless camp on Osceola Parkway.

The bones, which were believed to have been in the woods for an extended period of time, were removed by the medical examiner. No information is known about the person, other than that the bones appear to be an adult male, or how they died.

It's not clear if foul play is involved in the investigation.

No other details were immediately available.
