Intruder steals car while Central Florida woman sleeps

Titusville police search for white 2010 Dodge Caliber

TITUSVILLE, Fla. – Althea Gallion has lived in the same house on Carlysle Avenue in Titusville for over 40 years without any problems, until this morning.

"It's a bad feeling knowing that you live in a world today where you can't trust," said Gallion.

Sometime in the overnight hours, police say Gallion's white 2010 Dodge Caliber was stolen. Investigators believe that the crook broke into Gallion's back sliding glass door where they spotted her purse that was filled with cash and her car keys.

"I think they came in the back door, took the purse, took the keys off of it, took the cash and went the same way out," Gallion said.

Neighbors say that area has been stricken with residential burglaries that past few weeks with Gallion being the latest victim.

She says she now plans on putting up some sort of security system to hopefully keep something like this from ever happening again.

She said, "To think they came into my house, that's scary. It's like nothing is mine."

Police are still searching for the car white 2010 Dodge Caliber with the Florida tag J30ZQW.

Anyone with information about the burglary is urged to call police or Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS.
