Lake County catholic school principal arrested on DUI charges, police say

OCALA, Fla. – A principal at St. Paul's Catholic School in Leesburg was arrested for driving drunk after she caused a crash early Sunday morning.

Mary Staley was attempting to cross State Road 40 in Ocala when she got into an accident that sent two people to the hospital, according to police.

Officials said Staley is being charged with DUI, serious bodily injury and property damage.

The Diocese of Orlando said that Staley has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.

Staley bonded out of jail Sunday night.
