About the Band:
Gotye is the stage name for Wouter "Wally" De Backer, an instrumentalist and singer-songwriter recognized around the world for his 2012 breakout hit "Somebody That I Used To Know," featuring Kimbra, which reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Gotye was born in Belgium and raised in Melbourne, Australia, and began making music as a teen. In 2003, Gotye released his debut album, Boardface, followed two years later by Like Drawing Blood, which featured the hit "Learnalilgivinanlovin." Making Mirrors, Gotye's latest release, reached #6 on the Billboard 200, and his recent work has won three APRA Awards, including 2012's Song of the Year and Songwriter of the Year Awards, and six ARIA Awards, including Best Male Artist and Single of the Year. Currently, Gotye is on tour in North America.
