At Lake Eola Park, they are playing music honoring the legend who produced hits such as, "Little Red Corvette," "Purple Rain," and "Raspberry Beret."

The news of the death of the seven-time Grammy award winner broke around midday in Central Florida.

"It is with profound sadness that I am confirming that the legendary, iconic performer, Prince Rogers Nelson, has died at his Paisley Park residence this morning at the age of 57," his publicist Yvette Noel-Schure said.

Local radio personality Domino from 1059 Sunny FM had worked with Prince since 1981, said he would have never thought the legend would die at 57.

"We are talking about a guy a couple of years older than me. You see him and he didn't look sickly. I mean the guy always looked like he was walking in the club," Domino said.
