After 'Black Friday' comes 'Giving Tuesday'

New national movement aims to get Americans to give back

ORLANDO, Fla. – You've heard of "Black Friday" and "Cyber Monday," but now there's "Giving Tuesday."

Organizers are launching a national movement aimed at getting Americans to transform the way people think and are encouraging them to join in acts of giving on Tuesday, November 27.

Founding partners include United Way as well as Simon Malls, which operates The Florida Mall, Seminole Towne Center and Waterford Lakes Town Center in Central Florida.

Organizers are  hoping to capitalize on the power of social media using the Twitter hashtag #GivingTuesday.

According to the  website , many organizations are soliciting help or donations and list a number of ways people can help give back.
