American Airlines flight makes emergency landing in Orlando

Plane's windshield cracked during flight, official says

ORLANDO, Fla. – An American Airlines flight made an emergency landing at Orlando International Airport after a problem on board.

American Airlines Flight 1610 was headed from Miami to Toronto when the plane's windshield cracked.  The Boeing 737 was diverted to OIA late Wednesday night.

Local 6 was told the airplane touched down safely and no one was hurt.  The passengers were moved to a replacement plane and headed to their destination.

An American Airlines representative told Local 6 that maintenance workers were working to figure out what caused the crack.
