PALM BAY, Fla. – A 51-year-old Palm Bay woman was arrested after she repeatedly called 911 to thank  Brevard County Sheriff Jack Parker for bologna sandwiches provided at jail, according to police.

Christine Lee Brown was charged with misuse of 911 communications after dispatchers alerted police to six calls placed Saturday.

Palm Bay police went to Brown's home in the 2500 block of Chatham Way, and she met officers at a window while talking on the phone to a 911 operator, records show.  An officer could be heard knocking on the door as Brown chatted on the phone, police said.

Dispatchers repeatedly asked the woman if she had an emergency with each call, but Brown instead talked about having a bologna sandwich in the 1,600-inmate facility, according to police.

As of Tuesday, Brown remained held on a $3,000 bond at the Brevard County Jail Complex.

No court date has been set.
