Zarghee Mayan, of Orlando, was arrested by the Orange County Sheriff's Office on a charge of accessory after the fact to first-degree murder.

According to an arrest affidavit, Mayan helped Loyd avoid capture after the shooting death of 24-year-old Sade Dixon, Loyd's ex-girlfriend, who was slain Dec. 13 at a home in Pine Hills.

Mayan was with Loyd as recently as Saturday, the affidavit said. He was also with Loyd the night Dixon was killed, according to the affidavit.

According to court documents, Mayan told authorities that Loyd has been wearing a bullet-proof vest since Dixon's death.

Orlando police Chief John Mina said Tuesday that arrest warrants were being prepared for people who aided and abetted Loyd, 41, after Dixon's death.

Loyd is also wanted in the shooting death of Orlando police Master Sgt. Debra Clayton, 42, who was slain Monday after confronting Loyd outside a Walmart, according to authorities.

Two days before Loyd allegedly shot and killed Clayton, Loyd went to Mayan asking for food and money, according to the documents.

Loyd told Mayan, according to the documents, that he would shoot any police who tried to stop him.

Orange County sheriff's Deputy Norman Lewis, 35, was killed in a crash during a manhunt for Loyd, who remains on the run.

Mina and Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings have vowed to catch Loyd and bring him to justice.

A $100,000 reward is being offered for information leading to Loyd's arrest.
