ORLANDO, Fla. – The UCF Police Department has made an arrest in the sexual battery case that happened at an off-campus student housing complex on Nov. 16, according to police.

Thorpe has no UCF affiliation and is not an official resident of the complex.

The victim, a minor with no UCF affiliation, and a woman friend met the suspect on Nov. 16 near Alafaya Trail and McCulloch Road and voluntarily hopped a wall with him to enter Knights Circle, authorities said.

The crime was reported to UCFPD later that morning.

Detectives collected evidence from the scene and Det. Vargas identified the suspect. A warrant for Thorpe's arrest was issued earlier in the week and he was arrested without incident.
