Man dies in shooting at Fawlty Towers Resort in Cocoa Beach, police say

Shots fired in heart of city's tourist district

A shooting is reported at a Cocoa Beach hotel.

COCOA BEACH, Fla. – Police have identified the man who died in a shooting at a Cocoa Beach motel in the heart of the city's tourist area.

Authorities say Bryan Omar Guerra Martinez, 23, was killed in the shooting. Cocoa Beach police said they received reports from staff Friday at the Fawlty Towers Resort on East Cocoa Beach Causeway near State Road A1A.

Officers found Martinez dead in room 114 from numerous gunshot wounds, police said.

Witnesses told Local 6 that they heard shots fired and police later arrived at the motel. Police are searching for two white men that were last reported heading east toward Ocean Beach Blvd.  The men were described at 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 7 inches with a slender build wearing sunglasses and dark clothing.
