Man arrested at Aquatica after groping girls, deputies say

Man charged with lewd, lascivious molestation

ORLANDO, Fla. – A North Carolina man was arrested after deputies say he groped two girls at Aquatica on Sunday.

Roy McCormick, 32, was charged with two counts of lewd and lascivious molestation of a victim 12 to 15 years old in the Sunday incident at Aquatica.

Deputies said they were called Roa's Rapids after the victims said McCormick was floating down the lazy river when he reached over and touched their buttocks.

According to the report, McCormick was confronted by a lifeguard and deputies were contacted.

One victim told deputies he "creeped me out." The other victim told investigators he was staring at her chest.

Deputies tried to talk to him, but he asked for a lawyer.

According to the arrest report, Aquatica staff told investigators he is an annual pass holder and he has visited the park multiple times  this year.

McCormick was booked into Orange County jail. He was granted $4,000 bond at a first appearance on Monday morning.

Other conditions of his bond include no contact with the victims, no drugs or alcohol, and he cannot return to the water park.
