Officers said they responded to a home on the 600 block of South Flamingo Avenue in Holly Hill around 9:15 p.m in reference to a person shot.

Upon their arrival, police said they found a Heather Wright, 28, outside the home. Wright said Troy Keen, 40, had been shot in his side, but that the suspected shooter, James Rainville, had already fled the scene.

Police found the Keen in the kitchen with a gunshot wound to his left leg, according to the incident report. He was transported to Halifax Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, according to Holly Hill police.

Prior to the being transported, police said Keen told officers that "James," who was later identified as Rainville, had shot him.

Police said they also found three small children crying inside of the home.

Wright told police that Rainville, Keen, and Angela Toole, 36, were roommates and that they had gotten into an argument over Keen wanting Rainville and Toole to leave the house because Wright and Toole had showered together and Keen thought they had some sort of  "sexual relation" with each other, according to the report.

Police said that during the argument, Rainville went to his room and grabbed a gun. He confronted Wright and fired the gun, but missed her, sending the bullet through the kitchen wall and hitting Keen in the leg, the report said.

Wright told Holly Hill police that Rainville and Toole then fled in a black Chevrolet.

Rainville was later arrested during a traffic stop on Nova Road with the assistance of the Volusia County Sheriff's Office and the Port Orange Police Department, officials said. Toole, Rainville's girlfriend, was also arrested as an accessory in the incident, since she drove him away from the scene, police said.

Police said both suspects will soon be transported to the Volusia County Branch Jail.

The Department of Children and Families was contacted in regards to the three children found inside the home and are taking a report. No other details were available.
