ORLANDO, Fla. – A man was shot late Tuesday in Orlando while chasing two men who were trying to break into his vehicle, according to deputies.
The shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. in the 10000 block of Park Commons Drive near Moss Park Road.
According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, a 30-year-old man noticed two others attempting to get into his car, so he confronted them. The culprits ran through the Moss Park Commons neighborhood, but the man chased them and was shot, deputies said.
The would-be burglars then got into a vehicle and sped off, deputies said.
The man suffered non-life-threatening wounds and was taken to a hospital, authorities said.
A description of the culprits has not been released.
An investigation is ongoing.
