Man, teen shot at Fun Spot park, Orlando Fire officials say

Police: Man, teenage girl in stable condition; Suspect taken into custody

ORLANDO, Fla. – A man and a teenage girl were hurt in a shooting Saturday night at Fun Spot park, according to the Orlando Fire Department.

The shooting happened around 8:30 p.m. Saturday at 5700 Fun Spot Way.

Authorities said the man was shot in the shoulder and the teenage girl was shot in the foot.

Both victims were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries, Orlando police said.

Based on descriptions provided by witnesses, police found a suspect who fled from officers on foot. Police said officers were able to arrest the suspect, who was not identified, after a brief foot pursuit.

People at the park told the Orlando Fire Department the shooting appeared to be a random act.

Sunday morning, Fun Spot posted the following statement on their Facebook page:

"It broke our hearts that our guests at our Orlando location had to experience the incident last night when they came to create positive and fun memories with their family and friends. Like many of our guests we are disturbed that anyone would resort to violence in any situation.We at Fun Spot America will promise our guests, we will always do our best to make sure your visit to our Theme Parks will be a Safe-Clean-Fun experience for your entire family and friends."
