Man arrested for shooting 16-year-old ex-girlfriend, police say

Kwantedious Lamont Ross faces attempted murder charge

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando police tweeted Thursday that a 19-year-old man was arrested in connection with the shooting of his 16-year-old ex-girlfriend.

Kwantedious Lamont Ross was arrested on a charge of attempted murder. A Crimeline tip led to his arrest, but no other details have been released about his capture.

The girl was shot June 11 in the parking lot of Willow Key Apartments on Arnold Palmer Drive, according to police.

Police said Ross shot the girl, then opened fire two more times while she was on the ground.

The victim is in critical but stable condition. Police are not identifying her because she is a victim of domestic violence and a minor.
