Margaritaville Resort Orlando releases first renderings

First phase scheduled to open in 2017

ORLANDO, Fla. – The first renderings of the Jimmy Buffett-themed Margaritaville Resort Orlando have been released, giving locals and travelers a sneak-peek look at the $750 million project where it will always be 5 o'clock somewhere.

The resort is expected to feature a hotel, vacation homes and a water park.

According to a release from Margaritaville Holdings, the resort "will become an oasis for relaxation and fun" and include that "One Particular Harbour," a "FinCity" arcade, a "St. Somewhere Spa," a planetarium and the "Son of a Sailor" fishing school. Margaritaville Resort Orlando is also expected to feature a three-acre freshwater lagoon.

It will be located along US-192, near the State Road 429 toll entrance. 

The resort is inspired by the songs of Jimmy Buffett. 

The first phase of the resort is expected to open in 2017.

Margaritaville Resorts are currently located in Pensacola Beach, Pigeon Force, Tennessee and Bossier City, Louisiana and Hollywood Beach.
