Melbourne man killed in I-95 crash

Driver ran off highway, hitting concrete pillar

MELBOURNE, Fla. – A 77-year-old Melbourne man was killed in a crash Saturday morning after his sports car veered off the roadway, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. 

Troopers said the man, identified as Leslie Elmore Hill, was killed around 8:20 a.m. when his 2003 Chevrolet Corvette veered off Interstate 95 near the Pineda Causeway exit and struck a pillar. He was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to News 6 partner Florida Today.
