MARION COUNTY, Fla. – Officials are searching for a 12-year-old girl who they said may have left the state with her boyfriend.
The Marion County Sheriff's Office said Destiny Lynn Decker left her home at 425 S.E. 62nd Court in Ocala sometime after 11:30 p.m. Monday.
Deputies said Decker's boyfriend, Caleb Bacallao, 15, is also listed as a missing runaway with the Orlando Police Department.
Officials believe the two may be traveling in Bacallao's mother's vehicle, a blue Honda with Florida tag 026HYV.
Deputies said Decker made contact with her mother from a South Atlanta, Georgia, number.
Decker made comments to friends that she was running away to Canada, deputies said.
A Florida missing child alert was issued Tuesday for Decker and Bacallao by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
Decker is described as white, 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing 125 pounds. She has blue eyes and blonde hair.
Bacallao is described as white, 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds. He has brown eyes and brown hair.
Anyone with information about Decker or Bacallao's location is urged to call 911.
