Murder charges filed in Orlando cab driver's death

Body of Michael Smith has not been recovered, police say

ORLANDO, Fla. – Murder charges have been filed against the man arrested in the death of an Orlando taxi driver whose cab was found abandoned.

Paul Strickland was arrested on Sept. 3 and charged with armed carjacking and accessory to first-degree murder in the disappearance of Michael Smith, 59. A first-degree murder charge was added on Monday.

Strickland was in jail since his arrest in September on no bond.

Smith's body has not been found.

Police said they are still investigating other possible suspects who assisted in the crime.
