News 6 to hosts Salvation Army 2016 ‘Angel Tree' program phone bank

3,400 Angels need your help this holiday season

News 6 will host a Salvation Army Angel Tree phone bank on Tuesday to make sure children around Central Florida have gifts for the Christmas holiday.

The program started with 3,400 angels at the beginning of November.

The phone bank began at 5 a.m. Tuesday and will continue until 7:30 p.m.

If you want to help the  remaining angels  call 1-888-436-6665.

The Orlando Magic will host an Angel Tree drive Wednesday during Fan Fest. News 6 morning anchor Justin Warmoth will be live at the game.

Donors can choose to adopt an angel from Christmas trees at Mall at Millenia, Chick-fil-A and Nick’s Family Diner. Gifts should be returned to the same location by Dec. 14.

Each angel represents a child’s wish list from infants through age 14 who might not have a Christmas without donations. There were no forgotten angels in 2015.
