Ocala mother accused of taking babies to armed robbery

OCALA, Fla. – A 20-year-old Ocala mother was arrested on suspicion of taking her two babies to an armed robbery.

Alaina Danielle Johnson was arrested Wednesday on charges of robbery with a firearm.

According to the Marion County Sheriff's Office, Johnson drove Matthew Allison Thomas, 18, and a 17-year-old to a home and she also had three others and her babies in the truck.  The ages of the babies were not released.

A robbery took place, and the victims told detectives that Thomas and the teen  robbed them of cash, marijuana and a paintball gun while pointing a gun directly at the head of one of the victims, deputies said.

Deputies said Johnson, Thomas and the teen were arrested later Wednesday.  All three face charges of robbery with a firearm.

Johnson and Thomas were taken to the Marion County Jail and were each being held on $50,000 bond.  The teen was taken to Marion County Juvenile Detention and has no bond.

No other details about the robbery or the babies were released.
