Man killed in front of mother during landlord dispute in Orlando

David White killed less than 2 months after brother

ORLANDO, Fla. – A man is dead just months after his brother was also killed outside the same duplex in the Parramore neighborhood.

Orlando City Commissioner Regina Hill confirmed David White was shot and killed during a dispute with his landlord Monday evening.

"He has been a landlord here in the Parramore area for I know at least 10 to 12 years and has been a pretty fair person. Unfortunately, something went wrong today," Hill said. "A mother has now lost her second son here in this very block."

Orlando police said the person responsible for the shooting is in custody, but it's unclear who the person is.
Hill also said White's mother witnessed the shooting.

"My mom called me and told me that my brother was dead. Someone came in, shot him," family member Lamont Kaigler said.

Family members said David White had fallen behind on rent. He had been staying inside the duplex with his brother, JP White, before JP was shot and killed outside the home on Sept. 28.

Tuesday, while investigators followed a suspect in JP White's murder, Lonnie Tisdale, a chase ensued. Witnesses said Tisdale ran into a busy International Drive hotel in the middle of the day, causing heavily armed police to surround the area. The commotion was captured on cellphone video, showing tourists watching the frightening moments.

"Another brother that's died and (gotten) killed in less than three months. It's taken a toll on me and my mother and all my family members," Kaigler said.

Hill said the incident is isolated and there is no threat to anyone who lives nearby.
