Osceola officials search for dog that attacked woman, 2 dogs

Owner cited after woman bitten on hands, forearm

ST. CLOUD, Fla. – Osceola County Animal Services is searching for a dog that attacked a woman and her dogs on Monday morning while walking in St. Cloud.

Officials said the victim was walking her two dogs on Castillo Place near St. Cloud Middle School at 5:30 a.m. Monday when the dog, a 1-year-old female brown and white pit bull mix , charged out of the dark and attacked the victim's two dogs.

The dog also bit the victim on the hands and left forearm as she tried to get the dog to release its grip, according a release. 

Officials said she pulled the collar off of the dog and was led to the dog's owner, who was cited for “animal creating a nuisance, at large, and aggressive animal.”

Animal Services officers were in the area on Tuesday interviewing people and searching for the dog. Officials said that if the dog isn't found and quarantined, the woman may have to undergo a series of vaccinations as a precaution.
