Phony Target employee steals $31K worth of cellphones

Jarmal N. Brown allegedly took 41 cellphones from Target store

FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public's help finding a man it says got into a Target Mobile cellphone work station Monday and walked away with 41 cellphones worth $31,000.

The robbery happened just before 11 a.m. at the Target in the 5100 block of State Road 100 in Palm Coast.

Jarmal N. Brown, 26, of Sandy Greek, Georgia, arrived at the store dressed as a new Target Mobile cellphone sales team member. He was wearing a black shirt and khaki pants.

A Target employee told deputies that she was told Brown had portrayed himself as a Target employee and asked to be let into an equipment room. Once he was given keys, Brown entered a secured cabinet, took the phones and left the store.

A warrant for Brown's arrest was obtained Tuesday. He will be charged with grand theft and burglary, according to officials.

He was seen leaving the store in a 2010 Nissan Altima with Georgia tag QFD3744.
