Police: 1 dead, 2 hurt in Sanford shooting

Sanford police search for shooter

SANFORD, Fla. – At least one is dead and two others are hurt after a shooter opened fire in Sanford Sunday night, according to Sanford police.

Police said the shooting occurred at approximately 11:45 p.m. Sunday in the area of 14th Street and Oleander Avenue.

Pernecia, KeAmber Jones, 18, was pronounced dead at the Central Florida Regional Hospital, according to police. Javon Roberts, 19, was treated and released from the hospital.

Marvin Joe, 29, is being treated at Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando for gunshot wounds, according to police.
