Police look for man who tried to rob home

2 injured after attempted residential burglary

Another emergency responder sues after an emergency call.

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orange County Sheriff's Office and Orange County Fire Department responded to a report of an aggravated battery via firearm around 2:11 a.m. on June 15.

Police say the unknown male suspect tried forcing his way into the victim's home but was unsuccessful.

The suspect  then produced a firearm and fired through the door, striking the two male victims.

Both the 20-year-old and 21-year old victims were transported to the hospital with injuries that are being considered non-life-threatening.

Orange County sheriff's investigators are on scene conducting a follow-up investigation. 

Victims and witnesses have indicated that the suspected burglar was a male, but have not determined his age or race yet.
