Daytona Beach police: Man shot, robbed early Saturday

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Daytona Beach police say they are looking for a man who allegedly shot another man early Saturday morning.

Police were called to 1049 Brentwood Dr. around 5:30 a.m. Saturday.

Police said they found 40-year-old Calvin James lying on the floor with gunshot wounds to the arm and abdomen.

James was taken to Halifax Hospital where he was listed in stable condition.

After talking to police, James said 43-year-old Tori Hoe tried to rob him and was the one that shot him, officials said.

Hoe and James know each other, but there were no witnesses to the crime, police said.

Police are asking anyone who many know where Hoe is to call CrimeStoppers.
