Police release sketch of man wanted in Satellite Beach rape

Man could have scratches, bruises

SATELLITE BEACH, Fla. – Police released a sketch Thursday afternoon of a man who they say raped a woman at Satellite Beach park Sunday evening.

The man is described as about 30-40 years old and weighing 175 pounds. He has short hair and a receding hairline. It's possible that the man has scratch marks, bruises and could be speaking differently because the victim bit his tongue, the Satellite Beach Police Department said.

The woman was sitting in her car reading a book in the parking lot at Hightower Beach Park around 7 p.m. Sunday when an unknown man pulled her from the car, forced her to the ground, hit her in the face several times and then sexually battered her, police said.

The woman suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Satellite Beach Police Department or Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS.
